Sword Review: Apr. 09 Update
"Eat, Drink and Be Merry" by Alex Popkin (A Student Contributor)
New technology is becoming more and more a part of our daily lives. As time goes on, we expect machines to make our daily tasks easier. But is there such a thing as too much convenience?

I really like this one. Very funny. And very well done.
Those meddlesome microwaves!

| I'm glad that people enjoyed the story. You may be interested to note that what inspired me to right this was a couple articles about real technology that is already in development. The first one, called "The Internet of Things", was in Scientific American last year; I don't remember which issue. The gist was that soon every home appliance will be connected to the internet, and controlled remotely. The second one was something I read because it was linke to Tech Central Station. It said that some companies believe there would be a market for kitchen appliances that help people diet by restricting the available food. So who knows? This may be science fact in a few years. |
